Kaylee - Senior Session

It’s a rare opportunity when I am asked to do a senior session, as I tend to mostly photograph little ones, but every time I have the chance, I have the best time getting to know these kids on the brink of adulthood, and capturing their personalities. Kaylee, who is a senior at Pine Richland, was no exception.

Not only is she gorgeous, but she’s an artist. Like me, she sees the beauty in things like mossy bricks, a path in the woods, or an old antique yard ornament. With this in mind, she chose Little Human Photo Venue for her session location because of the Victorian-style greenhouse, the 1846 property, and all the little nooks and crannies hidden amongst it.

She looked stunning posing in the garden and near the pond.

Kaylee is as beautiful inside as she is on the outside. Her relationship with her brother Carson, has led her to consider a future working with special needs children, possibly using her amazing talent to work in Art Therapy.

I’m so excited for her and her lovely family as they embark on the next chapter of her life. Best of luck to you, Kaylee. Enjoy your senior year!

The P Family - Extended Family Session

I have been so blessed to have this lovely couple as my landlords at the studio, and was absolutely thrilled when they asked me to photograph their gorgeous family over Labor Day weekend. The family was gathering to celebrate a milestone family birthday in the backyard of their beautiful home, and the lighting was just perfect for a glowing golden hour session.

Lena is One! - First Birthday Session

These sweet sisters were so precious for Lena’s First Birthday Session. It’s not the traditional norm, but I love a blue theme for baby girls! Big Sister Sia even jumped in at the end to help Lena smash her cake. I was so so happy I captured that moment when Lena noticed her sister had just taken a big bite. So funny!

Happy 1st Birthday, Lena!

Cora - Newborn Session

Baby Cora is so loved! I started her session with family and sibling pictures, giving everyone a chance to love on this precious little pink bundle. What a lucky little girl to have two big brothers to love and protect her.

We then moved on to her individual portraits, using both purples and neutrals. She was unwrapped to showcase her perfect little fingers and toes at the very end of her session. What a sweet little angel. Welcome to the world, Cora!

Avyanna - Newborn Session

What a beauty! Avyanna was a perfect angel baby for her session at the studio. She was so sweet and snuggly, and even gave me a few subtle smiles - and just look at those gorgeous lashes! I can tell she is so very loved by her parents. Welcome to the world, sweet girl!

Ayden - First Birthday Session

I have been photographing Ayden’s family for years now, and have enjoyed watching their kids grow. Ayden was no exception as he is so adorable and sweet. We started his session with some family shots, before moving on to the star of the show - the birthday boy!

He did not disappoint with his sweet smiles and crystal blue eyes!

We then ended his session with a cake smash for this happy boy! As Ayden enjoyed his sweet treat, I captured the sweet details. Happy 1st Birthday, Ayden! You’re precious!

The N Family - Extended Family Portrait Session

It was such a delight to photograph this beautiful extended family - they were so much fun!

An extended family portrait session, like this one, includes both photos of the big group as well as the smaller groupings that make up the family. I absolutely love the color scheme this family chose, and I’m continuing to adore the willow tree backdrop this summer.

At the heart of the family are these three ladies - holding it all together.

They are beautiful inside and out!

Cassio is One! - First Birthday Session

Cassio was so much fun to have in the studio! He started his session in simple blue jeans with a neutral white. There is something I love about simplistic baby portraits. It really lets their facial expressions and personality shine through, and boy, did he have a lot of personality!

I was cracking up as I edited his images, as I noticed how much this little guy loves to squeeze his own belly. I don’t blame you, Cassio! You’re irresistibly squeezable!

We then moved on to the Pens portion of his photoshoot. He was all smiles with the cutest little chompers, and even waved his LGP towel for me. I can just see this guy heckling at the games!

We ended his session with the cake smash which Cassio and his belly seemed to enjoy.

What a babe! Thanks for hanging out with me, Cassio! Happy 1st Birthday!

The G Family - Mini Portrait Session

It’s always a pleasure to see The G Family every year. I’ve been watching the kids (and Marshall the dog) grow since little Camden was a baby. I’m happy to offer a Mini Portrait Session package year-round for those who want a simple update to their family portraits without an extensive session - it perfectly suits families with pets and little ones.

Every year, The G Family chooses a new spot to mix up the background of their pictures, and this year, we landed on North Park boathouse. I love this location because you can get a majestic natural background and a cool stone building in one location. Great spot for families too with OTB Boathouse restaurant and Millie’s Ice Cream right there! A great incentive post-pictures! These kids definitely earned it, as they were perfect…and Marshall was too. :)

The L Family - Extended Family Portrait Session

When I first posed The L Family under this big willow tree, I had no idea that is where Mom and Dad had gotten engaged years prior - not this specific tree, but a tree like it. Willow trees are always favorites of mine, not only for the shade, but also the whimsical blowing of the branches through the summer breeze. They offer a perfect natural backdrop.

The L Family also brought along their grandparents and uncles and aunt for an extended family session. I could tell how close they all are, and how family love and support runs deep, just like the roots of a big willow tree.

Erin - Portrait Session

When my friend and client Erin asked me to help commemorate her big milestone birthday with a photoshoot, I was so excited and jumped at the opportunity! I love that more and more people are embracing age, and aging naturally is becoming more popular.

For Erin’s 50th Birthday session, we focused on the many different sides of who she is. Not just an incredible wife and mother, but the classy woman, the writer, the NKOTB fan girl, the wine enthusiast, the runner and athlete.

This session was so much fun, and I truly enjoyed capturing these images of Erin.

I hope she cherishes these, and they are a constant reminder of how strong (mentally and physically), smart, and beautiful she is. Cheers to 50 years, Erin!

Vera - Newborn Session

I was delighted to have my new niece Vera visit the studio. Her mommy and I are both fans of non-traditional “girl” colors, so it was a no-brainer for me to go with yellows and white for her session. The colors lent themselves perfectly to the flower of late summer - the sunflower - and the most petite, sweet flower that pairs perfectly with a newborn - baby’s breath.

Our sweet girl slept perfectly, and Big Brother Leo did a great job too!

She gave us peaceful, sweet, and smiley! Love this little one so much already!

The A Family - Family Portrait Session

The most gorgeous evening, the loveliest family, the sweetest new home. All of the ingredients were just right to have a fun, memorable session with The A Family. I was so happy to help them commemorate their recent move closer to their parents/grandparents. They found the most adorable house in the greatest neighborhood, and are ready to put down their roots.

We used their new home as the backdrop for the session, complete with the coolest tree swing. I could see these boys enjoying it for their entire childhood.

Little brother preferred his tricycle in the driveway. It was so fun to capture candid images of these sweet little guys enjoying their boyhood on a warm summer night.

I loved how their family shots truly embrace this stage in their lives with two little boys and two active dogs. They also incorporated a prayer candle to represent the sweet baby boy who is waiting for them in heaven. His presence is certainly with them at their new home, and in their hearts forever.

I truly enjoyed meeting this special family, and welcome them to their new neighborhood!

Cash - Newborn Session

Baby Cash was a dream at his newborn session. He slept sweetly, even out of a swaddle. I loved the earthy neutral tones we did for the majority of his session, and how they brought out the hint of reddish blond in his hair. I equally enjoyed him in his little night cap, all ready for a slumber.

He also looked great in the soft blue/greens.

We ended his session with some nakey baby shots on a cozy brown blanket. He has some exceptionally cute toes, so I had to get some close-up shots. Mommy and Daddy will always want to remember when his little feet fit right inside the palm of their hands. These are the details that I love to highlight.

The T Family - Extended Family Portrait Session

Summer is a time to reunite with family. The T family came together from all over the region and out of state, to have fun together for a whole week! It was my honor to capture their portraits.

I love the color scheme they chose, which looked so nice against the background of Hartwood Acres Mansion.

It was evident that there is a lot of love between this group.

It was a sweltering evening, but we found some shade behind the mansion on the beautiful patio steps leading down into the pavilion area.

As the sun was setting, we made our way into the gated garden area to capture each sibling group within the grandchildren.

I hope these images are treasured for years to come.

The F Family - Maternity Session

To say I’m excited for this baby is an understatement. My beautiful sister-in-law was glowing in the summer sunlight at almost full-term! She was such a trooper battling the heat for our session, and looked so gorgeous.

My nephew Leo did not disappoint with his facial expression. He is so excited for his little sister, whom he lovingly calls “Pillow,” because Mommy has a pillow under her shirt, of course.

That feeling of expecting the second child is a tricky one for mommies. We have such strong bonds with the first-born who made us a mother, it seems almost impossible to love another little one just as much. But the love never fails to multiply.

…and the first baby will always be your baby, even if they’re not the baby of the family anymore.

Leo is so excited to welcome Baby Sis, as are Mommy and Daddy (and all of us!).

We’re ready for ya, Pillow!

Liliana - Newborn Session

When Liliana’s mommy told me Baby Girl was 6 weeks new, I wasn’t expecting to get many sleepy images, but Baby Lili surprised me by giving the perfect combination of sleepy, smiley, and peacefully awake. The angels must have been singing to her in her sleep.

She snuggled sweetly with Mom and Dad, and her big brother Caleb.

We ended her session with a warm, cozy, feminine color palette. I love the sweet close-ups of her pink toes. Her little feet make the perfect heart. Welcome to the world, angel girl!

The C Family - Family Mini Session

The raindrops outside didn’t keep us from capturing some beautiful images of the C Family. They visited me in the studio for a Mini Portrait Session, which is a service I offer all year. It’s perfect for families with young children who may not have the attention span for a full hour of photos.

I so enjoyed their beautiful children (those eyes!), and hearing all about air conditioners from sweet boy Henry. I hope they cherish these images for years to come, and look back on this crazy time of life with a smile.

The B Family - Family Mini Session

Summer is a time for travel and reuniting with family. When family comes together, especially from two different sides of the country, it’s so important to capture those moments. A photograph is a ticket back to a moment that is otherwise lost, and I hope The B Family cherishes these images for generations to come.
