The M Family - Family Portrait Session

As a mom of young kids myself, I get so excited when a family nails their session. I know how hard it is to get everyone dressed, out the door, and cooperating. Everything seemed to come together for The M Family on their picture day, and I’m so happy it did!

The sun was shining through the white clouds, the temperature was perfect, and the kids were all smiles! I loved capturing their personalities, and the little things that make them happy - like Charlotte’s special locket…

…and William’s fierce love for his mommy! He reminded me of my second-born; a mama’s boy who loves hard! It’s always a joy to work with The M Family - what a sweet family they are!

The W Family - Family Portrait Session

This is what Golden Hour dreams are made of. The perfect setting sun, filtered through the tree line, with an adorable family at the center of it all. My evening with The W Family was just that.

How lucky is this little man to have, not one, but two big sissies to care for him!?

Even though the Fall Foliage has been slow so far this year, I love all the warm tones that the setting autumn sun highlights. This glow can make even a cut field look magical.

I love this shot of the kids running to Mom and Dad for a hug. It was a great way to end our time together.

The B Family - Family Mini Session

Summer is a time for travel and reuniting with family. When family comes together, especially from two different sides of the country, it’s so important to capture those moments. A photograph is a ticket back to a moment that is otherwise lost, and I hope The B Family cherishes these images for generations to come.

The H Family - Family Mini Session

Some people call them ‘signs’, some say ‘God-winks’, or ‘glimmers’. Mother Nature gave us a few for the H Family’s session at Adams Twp. Park.

After a beautiful clear day, we had rain shortly before the session began. When it stopped just in time, I noticed a heart on one of the trees in the tree line. God-wink number one.

Then the fields gave us an abundance of daisies just begging to be in the pictures. They were the perfect prop for Annie to hold, and place behind her ear. I always love a touch of natural whimsy. Glimmer number two.

Lastly, while photographing the family of three in the field, we noticed another family in the distance. A few sweet deer were watching us and frolicking in the tall grass. Sign number three that the H Family is blessed and so special.

Evan - Senior Portrait Session

Ninety percent of the photography I do is babies and families with young children, but every now and again, I have the pleasure of photographing a high school senior. It is always a treat, as these kids are ending one chapter of their lives, and about to embark on, arguably, the most exciting chapter of college and young adulthood.

I met Evan in Adams Twp. Park, a park that is familiar to his family, as it has been the site of family gatherings throughout the years. We started out with a natural setting during golden hour, then up to the historic schoolhouse, and finally, the high school campus. Evan runs track, so we were sure to get some shots on the track where his mom suggested the awesome shot of lanes 2 & 3 making up a ‘23! Such a great idea! And then it hit me…I graduated high school 20 years ago. Haha!

I wish Evan the best of luck in his future at Edinboro and beyond! He plans to major in biology to eventually pursue a career in Physical Therapy. In the brief amount of time I spent with him, I can tell he has the maturity and strong support system necessary to be a success!

The M Family - Family Mini Session

My favorite thing about doing family sessions, is also the most challenging; it’s capturing the natural dynamic of the family members. I love to be able to see their personalities shine through, and with this session, I feel like we accomplished just that. I also LOVE the cool fall colors this family chose to wear, as well as the beautiful sunlight we caught for these images at golden hour.

Palmer - Baby Session

Sweet Palmer was a perfect angel for her baby milestone session, which was done around the 9 month mark. Her family decided to wait until the weather was nice so the session could be done outdoors, and we were so glad because it was a perfect day! Comfortable temps, low wind, and a partly sunny sky. Big sister Kinsley got to jump in a few shots, as well.

The B Family - Family Portrait Session

This session is exactly why I love the golden hour. The streaming sunlight perfectly illuminated the B family as they had their first photos as a family of five! They made my job easy with smiles as warm as the setting sun.
