It was a Winter ONE-derland with Harper in the studio! The (almost) New Years baby was pretty in her pink tutu fit for the tiniest sugar plum fairy. She is so darling! I’ve enjoyed photographing her brother for the past few years, and am happy to add her to my cute clientele. Happy Birthday, Sweetie!
Jameson and Grayson - Newborn Photography
Big brother Jameson’s greatest gift of Christmas is certainly his new little brother Grayson, welcomed just before the holidays. What a special time for this family. These two little guys were so cute and picture perfect for their in-home session - I love the jammies and Santa hats!
Gavin - Newborn Photography
Sweet Baby Gavin didn’t want to miss Christmas, so he came 17 days early and surprised his family who was in the midst of moving! This year may have been too chaotic for them to decorate their new house for Christmas, but it will certainly go down as their best Christmas ever as they received the most precious gift of their baby boy! Welcome to the world, Gavin!
Cameron & Natalie are One! - First Birthday Photography
I absolutely love this creative theme of a “Twinter Onederland” for Cameron and Natalie’s First! They will celebrate one year in December, and had a dazzling winter themed session in the studio with big sister Kendall too! It’s been a joy watching them grow up this year!
A Small Business Thank You
All of us can point to moments in our lives where we were at a crossroads. I remember the exact moment when I made the decision to pursue photography as a hobby and profession. I was sitting at the dinner table with my husband, exhausted from a long day of working in my office with no windows (a converted closet space) and a long commute home in the dark.
I remember the words sitting on my tongue. I nearly swallowed them with my dinner, but instead decided to let them out. “I wish I could take pictures for a living,” I said. You see, I had no formal training. The only thing I had going for me was an innate artistic ability, and a creative drive that I had been suppressing. “So do it!” my husband replied. He knew I had been unhappy at work, and struggling to balance my new role as a mom. My husband is very efficient and determined, so the moment I said this he began to construct a business plan with me. I started keeping a notebook of business ideas. In the weeks following, we purchased some camera equipment online and I began teaching myself to shoot in manual mode and edit my photos. I took some photos of friends’ babies, and began to build a small portfolio for what would be my website. I then cut the cord, and quit my job. A job I had once loved, but was no longer working for me.
Slowly but surely, I launched the business with help from my husband (an IT professional and finance guru). That was three and a half years ago, and I am so thankful that I took that leap of faith. I am grateful to my husband and friends for supporting me, and the many clients who have trusted me to preserve their family memories through photographs.
God works in mysterious ways. Along with my new business endeavor came some obstacles in my son’s life. God was calling me to be home with my little boy, and because of the freedom that came along with owning my small business, I was able to do so. Then in late 2017, we were blessed with an answered prayer as I found out I was pregnant again. In June 2018 I welcomed a second son, and was able to take three wonderful months off to focus on my family, all thanks to the freedom of owning a small business.
God continued to open doors for my business when I met another local mom/photographer who connected me to an amazing opportunity to rent a studio! Until this past October, I had been operating out of my home, and with a new baby in the house, I was strongly considering ending that part of my business and only doing on-location photography. I prayed about it, and just like that, the timing was right - Cute Moose Photography now has a home in Studio Bevy with three other talented photographers. I am so thankful for this opportunity; one that I didn’t think was financially possible for me at this point in time.
The business simply would not exist without customers, so as a “thank you” in honor of Small Business Saturday, I will be giving away a FREE Family Mini Session redeemable any time in 2019! Here’s what you have to do to enter:

Thank you to each and every one of you who have supported my business in any way. I appreciate it so much. God bless you and your families this holiday season and beyond!
The P Family - Family Portrait Photography
So many families request fall foliage pictures, but so few of them actually get to fulfill that request. It took the leaves forever to change this year, and when they finally did, the weekends were rainy and frigid. This family lucked out and actually got a few minutes to play in the leaves during their session, and oh what beautiful vibrant yellow leaves they were!
This was also my first time photographing a dog in the family portrait. Gus the dog did a great job, as did his beautiful, loving family!
The D Family - Family Portrait Photography
Skylar is just the cutest! She was so smiley and content with her little leaf. It’s so cute to watch babies marvel at the simplest things as they see our world for the first time. She played sweetly enjoying her first Fall. I hope her parents can cherish these pictures forever.
The M Family - Family Portrait Photography
Such a beautiful and bright family picture! I could tell right away this family is full of love and laughter. Their beautiful children are at the perfect ages to have a super fun holiday season, too! May they enjoy every moment!
Quinn is Six Months! - Baby Photography
Oh little Miss Quinn, your smile melts me! You were so very sweet for your session. I told Quinn’s mama that I’d love to set Quinn up with my 4-month-old in 20 years, as I felt they had the same happy, sweet temperament. Quinn was an absolute pleasure and joy to photograph!
The O Family - Extended Family Photography
This is a family I know and love well. Lisa has been one of my best friends since she moved into my neighborhood when we were in middle school. We shared a love for N*SYNC and theater, and sat together on the bus. Eventually our sharing of a seat became a sharing of a stage in high school, and I’m proud to say we’re still sharing lifes ups and downs in our thirties!
When she asked me to document some shots with her son Landon and her parents, I was thrilled and honored! Our original plan for a shoot with fall foliage as the backdrop soon became cancelled with the non-stop gloomy October rain, but we quickly rallied to do the session in my new studio space instead. Lisa is known for her spontaneity, and showed up to the studio with half of her home furniture (haha!), but I’m so glad she did because it totally made the photos. Such perfect props to bring the coziness and beauty of fall inside!
Lisa, thank you so much for allowing me to take these photos of your beautiful family!
Charlotte is One! - First Birthday Photography
I loved photographing Charlotte as a newborn, six-month-old, and now a big girl! She was able to wear the same headband for all three of her sessions, which makes her photos so special and unique. Happy 1st Birthday, Charlotte!
Penny Noel - Newborn Photography
Little Penny played the part of Belle for her newborn session to match the theme of her nursery, and it totally spoke to the 90’s girl in me. “Beauty and the Beast” is a movie my sister and I grew up on, and I’m sure Penny’s mommy did too. The window lighting in the studio beautifully complimented our re-creation of Belle’s library, and Penny’s mommy brought the perfect props to complete the “dreamy, far-off look”.
Louie is One! - First Birthday Photography
Louie’s parents are both teachers, so it was no surprise to me when they came up with the creative First Birthday theme of “Chapter One.” I absolutely love it! I also love the fact that we were able to incorporate Louie’s stuffed wolf into his newborn, six month, and first birthday pictures - especially since Louie’s middle name is Wolfe! So many neat, little details about this shoot. Happy 1st Chapter, Louie! It’s been so fun documenting your first year!
Adelyn Lorinda - Newborn Photography
I just love the way I caught Baby Adelyn looking at her mother with wonder and admiration. It’s the same look on her grandmother’s face as she hugs her daughter and newest grandbaby. It’s always an honor to photograph multiple generations.
Evelyn is One! - First Birthday Photography
Sweet Evelyn is such a doll! She was the perfect subject for my first session in my new studio space! I love the simple pink, gray, and white color scheme that her mommy chose, and of course, that dress was perfect first birthday attire. Thanks for spending your morning with me, Evie - I hope you have a fun birthday!
The D Family - Marshall Twp. Family Photography
Nothing like a fall photo session on a sweltering, humid 80-some degree day! Lucky for us, there was a cool breeze coming off the water, and a light sprinkle in the air. Miss Ava and her parents were such troopers with their beautiful smiles - you’d never know it wasn’t actually “sweater weather.”
The S Family - Cranberry Twp. Family Photography
What a view - both the background and the family! I always love capturing the S Family as they just radiate love and kindness. Even though baby girl wasn’t feeling her best, she still managed to give me some smiles. At first we fought to have her give up her little kangaroo for the pictures, but then we realized that, as her mommy puts it, its just part of the story. That is so true! My goal when I photograph any family is to capture this sentence of your story; one that you’ll fondly look back on for years to come.
Alastor is One! - Cranberry Twp. First Birthday Photography
When researching local photographers, Alastor’s mom said she was drawn to my woodsy logo and business name before even clicking on my website. Alastor’s parents love to hike and camp, so it’s only natural that his first birthday theme is “One Happy Camper". So cute - just like he is!
Happy 1st Birthday, Little Guy!
Cameron & Natalie - Cranberry Twp. Baby Photography
These two are just adorable!
The last time I saw them, they were newborns, and it was a few days after Christmas. Now here they are - 9 months and MOVING! They were so much fun to try to capture. Both were trying out their own means of transportation; Cameron crawling on all fours and Natalie army crawling with one arm tucked underneath. SO sweet! Both gave me super big, happy smiles!
The F Family - Marshall Twp. Family Photography
One of my all-time favorite families to photograph! They always bring the smiles, perfectly coordinated outfits, and of course…the most adorable little guy!
