The Class of 2020 has a special place in my heart for what they’re experiencing right now. I couldn’t imagine having those milestones of senior year taken away so suddenly, especially after all the work they’ve undoubtedly put into reaching them.

I first photographed Laura in the summer of 2019, and we had an amazing session. It was a beautiful evening, and we covered three different looks for her portraits. Then, when coronavirus hit, and everything came screeching to a halt, Laura learned that she would not receive the JROTC portraits that the school had planned on taking, so her mom reached out to me for one more session. I was happy to help her out, so she’d be able to have some pictures of herself in her uniform before she was scheduled to return it.

Our session was super quick and easy, but so important so that she could have these memories captured. I’d be happy to help out any 2020 senior who would like just a few more photos to add to their senior picture gallery. Whether it be a school uniform, a prom look, or a cap and gown…please reach out to me if you’re looking to schedule a mini session to capture these senior moments that deserve to be remembered.

I really enjoyed photographing this stunningly beautiful high school senior, and learning about her time competing in Irish Dance. The stories of the trips and long days competing brought back memories of my own competitive dance days. Rachel started her session in a gorgeous shade of green, and later changed to her Irish dance costume, which features a golden butterfly. I learned that each Irish dance costume is slightly different and customized to feature a design that relates to the dancer. Many of the costumes, like Rachel’s, are hand-made in Ireland.

Congratulations on all your accomplishments, Rachel!
