I really enjoyed photographing this stunningly beautiful high school senior, and learning about her time competing in Irish Dance. The stories of the trips and long days competing brought back memories of my own competitive dance days. Rachel started her session in a gorgeous shade of green, and later changed to her Irish dance costume, which features a golden butterfly. I learned that each Irish dance costume is slightly different and customized to feature a design that relates to the dancer. Many of the costumes, like Rachel’s, are hand-made in Ireland.
