I love when clients return year after year, and I get to see their little ones grow. It was so fun to see Easton again (with his 3-week-old little sister)! He is such a good big brother, as he was super helpful with cleaning up after his photos were done. What a sweet big boy! He is so ready to be two!

Simple and pretty with purple petals. Miss Maggie wanted to celebrate her 1st birthday with a unique, understated style and theme - and I loved it! Her mommy was even kind enough to let me experiment and put her little sweetie in a milk bath to create a dreamy, opaque white to compliment her purple. I just think of it as baby's first spa day!
It was so fun to play and "think spring" with this January birthday girl.
What better theme for a first birthday during this time of year than a Winter One-derland!? Teagan was such a trooper for her birthday session. Despite the cold, snowy day, and feeling under the weather, she still gave me some beautiful smiles.

Twins! Cameron and Natalie were born a few days before Christmas, and were my first ever twin session! I visited their home to capture them in their element with their parents, big sister Kendall, and dog Jax. The session was done using all natural light and a "lifestyle" approach to give a more candid look at their life as newborn twins at home. It was fun to capture how much they are loved.
This session was so much fun - and my first ever in the snow! This mother son duo were dressed perfectly for the weather, and were so much fun. My favorite part was seeing how much this little boy genuinely loves and admires his mama, even giving her a kiss on the cheek without being told!
The Y Family was excited for their session at the Cranberry Schoolhouse, all decked out for Christmas. The kids were full of energy, which luckily for me, came through in their photos with some sweet smiles.
It was a pleasure working with this adorable family. They had an unusually warm December day for their session at Blueberry Hill Park, which was perfect for little Miss Teagan to practice her walking, and show off her baby blues.
This beautiful family looked perfectly festive for their Family Mini Session at the Cranberry one-room schoolhouse. Not only are the children adorable, but they were well-behaved and sweet, as well. Santa will surely be making a stop at their home.
The M Family was camera-ready in their perfect Fall hues, as we did their session in their beautiful, secluded backyard. It was a pleasure meeting them and capturing the warmth and fun of their family.
I'm always captivated by the stories behind baby names. I always ask the parents about the inspiration behind their mini's monikers, and Louis Wolfe's story is so special. His first name is after his great-grandfather, who was a strong influence on Louie's daddy, and his middle name is a reflection of his teacher parents love for literature. Put the two together, and you have this sleepy, smiley sweetheart - Louis Wolfe.
I met this super girl when she was still in her mommy's tummy, and had the pleasure of photographing her newborn days, and now her 1st birthday! I love being able to watch babies grow throughout their first year. She is as sweet as the cupcake she smashed all over her face.
Ana turned 1 on Halloween, and fittingly celebrated with a super hero costume party! She carried out the same theme in her photos, and I absolutely love the way they turned out.

Baby Charlotte was so smiley and sweet at just 5 days old. After finally getting comfortable, she snuggled up and napped like an angel. It was so fun to photograph her beautiful features, and I can't wait to see her again in 6 months for her next session!
It finally feels like Fall with crunchy leaves on the ground and cool breezes in the air, so my requests for Family Portrait sessions are stacking up! I was so excited to capture this adorable family during their Family Mini Session last week. I loved the cool colors they chose for their session! I've known this momma literally since she was her son's age, so it was wonderful to see her again and meet her husband and sweet baby boy.
Sweet Baby Braxton and his parents looked stunning in the light of the sunset on an Indian Summer evening in late September. Their session was a lot of fun, and these black & white shots are some of my favorites! Such a beautiful family.
Carmen Amara, my sweet niece, is already one! She will be celebrating with a unicorn-themed first birthday party, so her shoot featured a fluffy cloud fit for Pegasus, a rainbow, and pink and gold accents. She is such a smiley, loving sweetie who is already on the move walking and speed crawling. Love her to the clouds and back!
It's back-to-school time and Fall is in the air (quite literally - the wind was chilly during this session!), and that means time for Senior Portraits. It was a lot of fun working with Brandon for this session. Not only is he a talented musician, but he plays hockey for SV, and plans to major in Computer Science. I wish you all the luck in the world, Brandon! Enjoy your senior year!
I usually photograph young families; babies and young children really make you work for the shot, and I enjoy the challenge, but every once and while I get the pleasure of photographing older kids or young adults. As much as I love the little ones, it's refreshing to give direction to older kids who can understand it.
I've known this mama for many years, and I so enjoyed reconnecting with her to take photos of her beautiful family! You can tell these kids were raised with a lot of love.
This family is very special to me, they are my cousins and aunt. For Lauren's First Communion portraits, we took some in the studio with natural light, and a few at North Catholic High School in the prayer garden. Lauren and Justin were also able to light a candle for their daddy, my sweet, loving Uncle Dave, who recently passed away unexpectedly. He did get to see his daughter make her first communion this past spring, which was a wonderful opportunity for our family to get together. Lauren and Justin are now blessed with a very special guardian angel. I certainly felt his presence as we were taking these photos on such a beautiful day - sunny, blue skies, with a gentle, cool breeze.
My little guy is 3! For his birthday session, we went to the Mars Shortline Railroad (but told him we were going to Sodor, where Thomas the Train lives). It was a beautiful evening, and we enjoyed a behind-the-scenes tour of the Mars Historical Society's train shed, as one of the members happened to see us taking pictures. Vinny was so excited to play on their train table! The kind gentleman even let us use one of the authentic railroad lanterns in our pictures.
We are planning to come back to the railroad in a couple weeks to ride the little train that is there on Fridays from 10am-2pm. There is also a beautiful pavilion with picnic tables perfect for packing a lunch, a train museum, and Thomas train table for the kids. Such a quaint little gem tucked away at the edge of downtown Mars. At the end of the visit, Vinny didn't want to leave, so we did what any parents would do and bribed him with ice cream to get in the car.
We're excited to return with our friends, and encourage anyone with a little guy or girl who loves trains to check out this railroad!
Bubbles plus sunset equals magic!
I so enjoyed capturing this beautiful family during the golden hour as their sweet daughters, Bella and Gracie, frolicked through the bubbles. This family is just as beautiful on the inside as they are on the outside - so obviously, their kindness radiates just like the golden sunlight in their photos. I photographed Gracie when she was a newborn, as well, so I loved seeing how much she and her big sister had grown!
